Introduction
Business Ledger - Account Book ("the App") helps you keep customer, supplier, and stock ledgers on your Android phone. Sign in is required to use the full app. Free users have unlimited khata with automatic backup on the phone. Pro subscribers also get server backup and can restore anytime on any phone. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Who is responsible
The developer shown on this app's Google Play listing is responsible for the App as published on Google Play. Google LLC operates Google Play and related services under its own terms and policies.
What the App does (summary)
• Manage one or more businesses (shops) with separate ledgers.
• Customers — credit (given) and debit (received), balances, notes, photos, quick receive, SMS/WhatsApp messages.
• Suppliers — purchase on credit, payments, quick pay, photos.
• Stock — products, buy/sell/opening movements, low-stock alerts, photos, reports.
• Dashboard summaries, filtered reports, and PDF export.
• Trash — move items to trash, restore, or permanently delete.
• Automatic JSON backup on your phone (Downloads/TPHKhata) and manual JSON export/import.
• English or Bengali interface, currency display, light/dark/system theme.
• Optional app PIN lock; email/password account for sign-in; optional Premium (Pro) for server backup.
• Live chat / Help & support and admin notices when signed in and online.
Khata storage: Free vs Pro
• Free: unlimited khata on your phone with automatic JSON backup on the device. Server backup is not included.
• Pro: khata stays on your phone and also auto-saves on our server while Pro is active. Restore anytime on any phone after sign-in.
• Signing in alone does not download Free users' khata from the server — use phone backup or Pro restore.
Information you provide
You enter business and ledger details on your phone. For account features you may provide name, email, mobile, profile photo, support chat messages, and — if you choose Premium — mobile payment details (payment method, sender number, transaction ID). Email and password are used for sign-in only.
Where your data is stored
• Free users: ledger data is stored locally on your device with automatic JSON backup on the phone.
• Pro users: ledger data is stored on your device and backed up to secure online storage while Pro is active.
• Account profile (name, mobile, email, premium status, app PIN), support/live-chat messages, payment requests, and admin notices use secure online services when you are signed in and online.
Account and sign-in
• Register or sign in with email and password — required to use the full app.
• Internet (mobile data or Wi-Fi) is needed for sign-in, register, live chat, admin notices, and Premium payment verification.
Premium (Pro) payments
• If you purchase Premium, you submit payment details so we can verify your payment. This is stored securely for verification only.
• Pro unlocks server backup — khata auto-saves online and you can restore anytime on any phone.
App security PIN
• You may set an optional PIN to lock the App on your phone. The PIN is stored with your account profile when signed in.
Internet and online services
• Sign-in, register, live chat, admin notices, and Premium require internet when you use those features.
• Khata entry and viewing work on your phone. Free users rely on phone backup; Pro users may also restore from the server.
Backups and data loss (important)
• Free: enable automatic JSON backup to Downloads/TPHKhata and export manually from Menu → Backup.
• Pro: khata also saves on our server — restore anytime after sign-in on a new phone.
• Uninstalling the App or clearing app data removes local khata unless you kept a JSON copy or can restore from Pro server backup.
• A normal app update from Google Play usually keeps khata on your phone, but we still recommend exporting JSON before major updates.
Permissions (typical)
Network access (sign-in, support, notices); notifications; storage for backup/export files; camera or photo picker for proof/profile photos; contacts access only when you pick one contact (we do not upload your full contact list).
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. Contact us via the Play listing if you believe a child's data was submitted.
Data retention and deletion
Local ledger data remains until you delete it, remove backups, uninstall, or clear app data. Online account profile, Pro server backup, and support messages remain until you delete your account. Deleting your account does not recover local khata unless you exported JSON first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date in the App will change. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
