Introduction
Tally Khata (“the App”) is an offline-first ledger for businesses and customers on your Android device. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Who is responsible
The developer identified on this app’s Google Play listing is responsible for the App as published on Google Play. Google LLC operates Google Play and related services under its own terms and policies.

What the App does (features)
• Create and manage one or more businesses (shops).
• Add customers with name, phone, and address (optional fields you choose to enter).
• Record credit (given) and debit (received) transactions with amounts, notes, and timestamps.
• View balances and filtered reports; export reports as PDF to your device storage (Downloads folder where supported).
• Move customers to Trash, restore, or permanently delete.
• Export and import a full backup as JSON files you select on your device.
• Optional Bengali or English interface labels where supported.
• Ads may be shown through Google AdMob when the device is online.

Where your data is stored
Ledger data (businesses, customers, transactions) is stored locally in a database on your device. We do not require you to create an account in the App, and we do not operate our own cloud service to store your ledger.

Internet and ads
The App can work without internet for core bookkeeping. When internet is available, Google AdMob may load and display advertisements. AdMob and related Google services may collect or process identifiers and usage data under Google’s policies. You can learn more at https://policies.google.com/privacy and manage ad personalization in your Google Account or device settings.

Backups, PDF export, and files
When you export a backup (JSON) or a report (PDF), the App writes files to locations you choose or to your device’s Downloads area (depending on Android version). You are responsible for where you store copies and who can access your device.

Permissions (typical)
The App may request access that Android shows at runtime or install time, such as: network access for ads; storage-related access on older Android versions for reading/writing backup or export files where applicable. Only use permissions needed for the features you invoke.

Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your country). If you believe we have inadvertently collected information relating to a child, contact us through the Play listing and we will take appropriate steps.

Data retention and deletion
Data remains on your device until you delete it in the App, remove files you exported, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes the App’s local database from your device (subject to device backups managed by your phone manufacturer or Google).

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the in-app screen will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Contact
For questions about this App, use the contact method shown on the Google Play store listing for Tally Khata (for example developer email or website if provided there).

Third parties
Your use of Google Play, Android, and Google advertising services is also governed by Google’s terms and policies. We do not control Google’s processing beyond what is needed to distribute and monetize the App through their platforms.
